Ghana international Sulley Muntari is well convinced that AC Milan will overcome their difficulties this season and bounce back in the Serie A as well as the Uefa Champions League.

Milan went down 3-1 against Barcelona at the Camp Nou and the star midfielder admits it is painful losing to the Catalans.

“We did not want to lose against Barcelona, but this time things did not go on well,” Muntari told Milan Channel. “We want to do well and will soon come out of these difficult times.”

“Against Barcelona we played satisfying the desire of our coaches and prepared for the game with caution. Referee mistakes also played a part, but we have to work hard and keep our feet on the ground to overcome this negative period.”

Milan who are 11th on the table face relegation-threatened Chievo Verona away on Sunday.
