Mozambique beat winless Ghana 2-0

MOHLAKENG - Mozambique Under-23 national soccer team caused a major surprise when they beat Ghana 2-0 at Mohlakeng Stadium on Wednesday to advance to the Sasol Nations Cup semifinals.

It was a well deserved win for the Southern Africa country who were all over the more fancied West Africans. Manhonga Guiltol scored the first goal in the 44th minute with the second one coming from Saide Helder in the 76th minute. Ghana are the only country who ended the group stages of this eight nation tournament without a single point. Senegal are now going to face the Republic of China in the semifinal at Katlehong Stadium on the East Rand on Friday. The other semifinal will be between the hosts South Africa and Ivory Coast the same venue.
