Moro Abubakar wants Hearts return

Midfielder Moro Abubakar has offered to return to play for Hearts of Oak for free.

The 24-year-old is back in the country after terminating his contract with Donji Srem.

Abubakar is now a free agent, making him eligible to sign for any club of his choice.

The former Hearts of Oak captain revealed he has been contacted over a move to AshantiGold but says he would prefer to rejoin the Phobians where he has offered to play for free.

“Hearts of Oak made me what I am and I am willing to make a return to the club even to play for free,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“I wouldn’t mind to play for free and then when an opportunity comes, I can return to Europe with Hearts also benefiting financially.

“This is what I have told officials but they are yet to respond so I await their response.”

Moro Abubakar left Hearts of Oak in 2014 following the expiration of his contract to sign for Serbian club Donji Srem.

But he terminated his contract over unpaid salaries to return to Ghana.
