More money for Kotoko players

Players of Asante Kotoko are not just celebrating top spot in the 3-match old Glo Ghana Premier League, they are also smiling all the way to the bank.

SportsInGhana.com understands Executive Chairman of the club Dr. K.K. Sarpong who is out of the country on a business trip, was so impressed with the performance of Kotoko in beating Bechem United 3-2 on Sunday that he has ordered that the winning bonuses of the team and playing body be increased.

Reigning Premier League best player Ahmed Toure scored twice to help Kotoko come from 2-1 down to secure their second straight league victory and push them top of the standings on seven points, same as eternal rivals Hearts of Oak.

Having already started preparations for both of upcoming Match Day 4 as well Match Day 5 clashes against Heart of Lions and Berekum Arsenals respectively, Kotoko play a friendly against Okwawu United on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi at 3pm with a flat GH?1 charged at the gates, stated a press release signed by Kotoko Public and Supporters Relations Officer Listowell Yesu Bukarson.
