Minority congratulates Satellites

Accra, Oct. 20, GNA - THE Minority in Parliament has described Ghana's Black Satellites as brave men and history-makers as they congratulated the newly-crowned football's world Under-20 champions for their achievement at the just ended FIFA youth tournament.

In a congratulatory message sent to the team and signed on behalf of the Minority by Mr Osei Bonsu Amoah - Member of Parliament for Aburi-Nsawam, it commended the Satellites for braving all odds and in the face of extreme challenges to prove their mettle against no mean a side than Brazil to get into the history books as the first African side to lift the Under-20 trophy.

"You proved your worth when you won the African title in Rwanda earlier this year and you have indeed proved to the world that after two earlier attempts, you indeed deserve to win it on the third attempt.

"While congratulating you for your historic achievement, we also want to commend you for your unrelenting spirit that kept you fighting to the very end and the exhibition of such extra-ordinary skills and great teamwork which re-emphasized Ghana's status as a great football nation.

The message said "We indeed join the millions of Ghanaians both home and all around the world to revel in your success which has once again made Ghana the attraction in world football, the statement ended.
