Ministry releases Black Stars bonus

The Ministry of Youth and Sports on Thursday released an amount 27,650, dollars to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as bonuses of the Black Stars who are now preparing for their crucial Cup of Nations qualifying tie against the Cranes of Uganda at the Kumasi Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The money, made up of players winning bonus of 208.98 million cedis and the match officials indemnity of 28.81 million cedis was handed over to Mr. E. Commodore, senior accountant of the ministry by officials of the Ministry of Youth, Education and Sports last Thursday.

Commenting on the release of the money, Mr Joe Aggrey, the deputy minister, said everything necessary was being done to ensure that both the players and the technical men of the Black Stars are well motivated to give of their best in the crucial match..

According to a released signed by Mr. Kofi Aggery, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry and made available to the GNA Sports, the Stars who are in camp at Obuasi are in high spirits ahead of the titanic match on Sunday.
