Ministry XI to host Black Queens

Accra, July 9, GNA - A ministry of education select side, would on Friday afternoon host the Women national team, Black Queens in a special friendly game at the nations Wembley, Accra Sports Stadium.

The game is aimed at raising funds for the Queens who currently preparing for the forth edition of the women's Word Cup slated for the United States in September.

The ministry's team according to sources the GNA Sports spoke with is to be constituted by players drawn from selected Junior Secondary School (JSS) in Accra who have been camped by the Ministry for grooming. Information chanced upon by the GNA Sports indicated that Coach Oko Aryee is expected to feature all the five foreign-based players who joined their colleague locally stars at their Winneba Sports College camping base yesterday.

The five players are skipper Alberta Sackey, Basilea Amoah-Tetteh, Ajoa Bayor, Kulu Yahaya and Elizabeth Baido who are expected to give their opponents a tough challenge on the afternoon. Coach Aryee told the GNA Sports that he is hoping to blend the locals with the professionals to see how this would work..
