Mine Stars sponsorship money stolen by Operational manager of club

* Operational Manager of Division One side, Prestea Mine Stars, Anthony Ackah who also works for Bogoso Mines Limited has allegedly stolen an amount of GH ¢13,000 (Thirteen Ghana Cedis) being a sponsorship money the team was supposed to use for the recent Middle League competition.

The company paid the sponsorship money of GH¢35,000 in installments through Ackah but he bolted with the last installment of GH¢13,000 to Obuasi.

He allegedly used it to build a house for himself and now the former Ghana Premier League club has been served with a bench warrant for his arrest at Obuasi.

Meanwhile, one of the management members of the club, Alhassan is appealing to the Division One League Board to take critical look at the referees who handle matches of the Middle League in future.

Mr. Alhassan and he has also promised fans of the club that Mine Stars will start preparations for next season immediately after the World Cup and make sure they qualify back into the elite division.
