Middlesbrough push juventus for Appiah aggreement

Middlesbrough aren't giving up on talks with Juventus over midfielder Stephen Appiah.

In the last 24 hours, Juve have reportedly dropped their asking price for the Ghana captain to ?3 million.

The Evening Gazette says Boro initially wanted to take Appiah on loan, though discussions have taken place over the possibility of the Ghanaian captain making a permanent move to Teesside.

Boro need to complete an agreement with Juventus before they can approach the player, who is currently on holiday.
