Mfantsipim win anniversary games

Mfantsipim School defeated Adisadel College 2-1, to win the 10th Annual Mfantsipim-Adisadel Anniversary Partnership Fun Games held at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra on Saturday.

Central defender, Yaw Danso and inside left Prince Kumi scored for Mfantsipim in the 10th and 38th minutes respectively while centre forward Ernest Boafo scored for Adisadel through a penalty in the 50th minute.

The games which are aimed at fostering good relationship between the two Cape Coast schools saw Adisadel beating Mfantsipim 1-0 in the 1960 year Group match while Mfantsipim also defeated Adisadel 3-1 in the 1970 year Group. But lost 0-1 in the 1980 Year Group and manage to win the 1990 Year Group 1-0.

Mr Ernest Bediako Sampong, Chief Executive Officer of Ernest Chemist, who was the guest of honour, called on students to be law-abiding and refrain from acts which tend to derail academic work.

He also asked the youth to eschew all forms of negative practices which hinder national development.
