Meteors to camp in South Africa ?

National teams coach, Ralf Zumdick appears to be obsessed with his job and on Eid ul Fitr holiday yesterday, he sat at his desk in the offices of the Ghana Football Association plotting to get the best of everything; players and preparations, for his Black Meteors assignment against Zambia.

The Olympic Games qualifier against the Zambians is fixed for Saturday, December 20th in Lusaka and Zumdick is wondering which option between camping his team in Ghana and South Africa would better serve his plans.

The South African trip looked a preferred choice and should he stick to that, the Black Meteors could depart Ghana on the 12th of December for South Africa where he plans a couple of friendly matches with South African sides.

From there they would make an exit for Zambia on the 17th of December and arrive in Lusaka on the 18th, giving them two days rest before the match.

Should the South African trip fall through, the Meteors would then comfort themselves with camping at Obuasi between the 9th and 10th of December after the premier league ends on the 6th. At Obuasi, he also plans a series of friendly games including some internationals before leaving Ghana also on the 17th for Zambia.

Meanwhile on the player front, Zumdick is to assess midfielders Derek Boateng and Razak Ibrahim intending to employ their services to augment his Abuja team that pipped the Amagluglug of South Africa 1:0 in Accra.

He will be praying for the return of John Paintsil, Isaac Boakye, John Mensah and Michael Essien along the local components of the Pokus, Gyans, Gawus Yakubus, Owusu Ansahs and Chibsahs.
