Meteors in new group with new opponents

Changes to the All Africa Games football competition fixtures has seen Ghana moved to Group A with different opponents rather than the initial Group B.

Organisers explain that withdrawals by Libya and Madagascar from the Games has forced the changes.

The Black Meteors are now paired with hosts, Mozambique and South Africa in a three-team table instead of the original draw against Cameroon, Senegal and Uganda.

Ghana's opening group game will now come off on Wednesday, September 7 against South Africa, who won 3-1 over Mozambique on Sunday before taking on the hosts on Saturday.

Group B, also pruned to three teams now consist of Cameroon, Senegal and Uganda.
