Meteors begin camping on Tuesday against Zambia

The national Under-23, the Black Meteors will on Tuesday, December 9, begin camping in Accra for their Athens 2006, qualifying game against Zambia on December 21 in Lusaka.

Following this, 24 players have been invited by the head coach Ralph Zumdick, with current league champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko leading the pack with eight players, followed by King Faisal with six players, four from Hearts, two from Goldfields and one each from Sekondi Hasaacas and Hearts of Lions.

From the camp of Kotoko are George Owu, Charles Taylor, Micheal Osei, Edmund Owusu-Ansah, Stephen Oduro, Micheal Osei, Yussif Chibsah and Frank Osei, whilst Habib Mohamed, Eric Gawu, Abubakari Yahuza, Shilla Illiasu, Abass Inusah and Kwadjo Poku are from King Faisal.

Others are Emmanuel Osei, Bernard Don Bortey, Dan Coleman and Eric Nyarko from Hearts of Oak with Isaac Amoako and Shaibu Yakubu from Goldfields. Saliu Muntari and Adamu Mohamed are joining the team from Hasaacas and Heart of Lions respectively.

The rest are Sulemana Abu and Derick Boateng. The team is expected to resume training on Tuesday afternoon at Legon.

Information reaching GNA Sports indicates that the team is scheduled to leave Accra for Zambia on December 21.
