Medeama to renew rivalry with Liberty

Wa All Stars and Medeama scrapped through to the third round of the FA Cup after securing hard fought wins against second tier sides in their outstanding Round of 64 matches.

The Blues from Wa earned all the bragging rights as they beat rivals, Upper East United 1-0 at the Bolga Town Park on Sunday.

All Stars will now meet another Division One side, Pure Joy in Wa to play for a last 16 place on 28 March.

In the other game at the Tarkwa T&A Park, Medeama returned to winning ways when they beat Westlandes 2-1 to qualify to the Round of 32.

Medeama will now battle Liberty Professionals in the fourth round in an all-premiership clash on 28 March at the Carl Reindorf Park.
