Medeama will travel to Tunisia on Thursday ahead their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary first round tie against Libyan side Al Ittihad Tripoli on Sunday.

The game will be played in Tunis due to the unstable political condition in Libya.

The Mauve and Yellows will depart Accra on Thursday night for the crucial first leg tie.

The ambitious Ghanaian side face a daunting task to progress after Ittihad edged past Nigerien side Sonidep 5-4 on aggregate.

But the Ghana FA and Super Cup champions have been boosted after their 2-2 stalemate with Kotoko in a league match on Sunday.

Medeama missed out on qualification to the group stage by a whisker three years ago and have vowed to go a step further.

The return leg is slated for 20 March at the Essipong Stadium.
