Match Report: Liberty Beat Berekum Chelsea 3-1 in Dansoman

Liberty Professionals continued with their impressive run of form at the Carle Reindorf Park with a 3-1 victory of Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday.

Youngster, Latif Blessing was once again instrumental for the Dansoman based side, scoring twice to take his tally to 7 goals in the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League.

Inform striker Bernard Arthur put the game beyond the reach of the Blues with a close range header 4 minutes to the end of the match.

Chelsea had earlier taken the lead just seven minutes into the week eight encounter when forward Asiwome Fumador’s goal bound shot was directed into his own net by Liberty right back Mutawakilu Fuseini.

But the home side soon found their rhythm, scoring two goals just before the halftime Break.

Wing wizard, Latif Blessing equalized for the Scientific Soccer lads on 35 minute when Chelsea keeper Ahmed Tijani failed to grab the ball on the first attempt after Ebo Mends had tested him from range.

Blessing again scored a second of the afternoon after a comedy of errors by Chelsea defender, Osei Bonsu which left the keeper at the mercy of the young attacking sensation.

The joy of the second goal however didn’t last long for midfielder Babamu Addo as he was stretched off injured s minute later to be replaced by Mubarak Yussif.

Liberty went into the dressing with a 2-1 advantage.

After the break, both sides tried to take the game to the opponent half but without any Success especially in the final third of the pitch.

But it was Liberty, that inevitably got the final bite of the cherry, when striker, Bernard Arthur, who had been in the game for barely two minutes after replacing injured Ben Eshun, scored a third with a close range header following a fine cross by Emmanuel Sarpong on 88 minutes.

The win means, Liberty are yet to drop a point at the Carle Reindorf Park in the ongoing campaign
