Mariners win 1-0

Accra, Aug. 25, GNJA - Teshie Great Mariners notched a 1-0 victory over visiting Ho VORADEP in their Division One League (DOL) match played at Teshie in Accra on Sunday.

Playing as if they were possessed, Mariners raided the visitors' goal area with incessant attacks and it came as no surprise when left-winger Joel Adjei scored the only goal in the 35th minute after receiving a beautiful pass from left full back Eric Darko. The Ho boys resumed the second session with greater determination, firing from all angles but the defence of Mariners pivoted around Jerry Abbey thwarted all their efforts at goal.

At Dawu, Suhum Maxbees routed bottom club Khalid F/C 3-1.
