Mankessim, (C/R) Nov. 3, GNA - Mankessim MIR F/C on Thursday pipped Cape Coast Venomous Vipers 0-1 in a friendly soccer match played at Mankessim.

MIR F/C who paraded a number of youthful and determined players matched Vipers boot to boot to end the first half goalless. The two sides resumed the second half with greater determination but it was MIR F/C who had the edge in attack and went ahead to break the deadlock in the 75th minute through their midfielder John Fiifi. Vipers, sensing disgrace warmed themselves into the game and bombarded their opponents goal area with shots from all angles but try as they did they could not find the net till the final whistle. 0 Nov. 06
