The Greater Accra Regional FA chairman, Nii Eddie Doku, has called on President John Mahama to immediately sack the Deputy Sports Minister Vincent Oppong Asamoah for his consistent criticism of the mechanisms of the Ghana FA.

His call comes after the deputy minister took to the media to address issues involving his outfit and the FA over bonuses of various national teams. But the re-elected Greater Accra Football administrator thinks the President must relieve the deputy sports minister off his post before it is too late.

“I don’t have a problem with the whole ministry because the substantive minister has never made loose statements against the Ghana FA, but can you imagine a whole deputy minister saying ‘take it or leave it’ if President Mahama tells him this how will he feel.

“To be frank he is an apology of a minister, people say worse things but for me the President must sack this man before he destroys our football because he has never kicked football before," he told Starr Sports.

Doku is an executive committee member of the Ghana FA and has been tipped to be nominated as part of the Emergency Committee.
