MUSUGHA salutes Black Satellites

Kumasi, Oct. 20, GNA - The Ashanti Regional Branch of the Millennium Supporters Union of Ghana (MUSUGHA), one of the group supporters groups of national teams has congratulated the Black Satellites for winning the FIFA Under-20 World Cup tournament.

It said the achievement had further enhanced Ghana's image among the comity of football nations in the world.

Hajia Saudato Ibrahim, the Regional Co-ordinator of MUSUGHA said this in a congratulatory message issued in Kumasi. The message called on the players of the senior national team, the Black Stars to be motivated by the feat chalked by the junior national team and endeavour to go for the ultimate at the 2010 FIFA World Cup Championship in South Africa.

"Just as the Satellites defied the odds to lift the trophy on an African soil, so should you the Stars take a cue and muster enough courage to also become the first African country to lift the World Cup. The message called on Ghanaians to pray and rally behind the Black Stars as they prepare for the championship that lies ahead to bring another trophy for the country.
