MTN inspires Black Stars

Accra, Sept 4, GNA - Cellular giants, MTN has inspired Ghana's Black Stars to fight relentlessly for victory ahead of their Group Five qualifier with Libya in the joint World Cup and African Nations Cup on Friday at Tripoli, Libya.

A statement signed by Ms Mawuena Dumor, Corporate Services Executive of MTN copied to GNA Sports urged the Black Stars to confirm their superiority over the Libyans with total victory and not to relent in their effort to succeed. "MTN encourages the Black Stars to demonstrate the Can-Do spirit in order to emerge victorious in the match." Ms Dumor called on Ghanaians to rally behind the team and demonstrate their support with enthusiasm and a spirit of purpose to spur the team on to victory.

The company welcomed Captain Stephen Appiah back into the team and saluted Coach Milovan Rajevac on his appointment as the manager. Ms Dumor said MTN promises to provide the necessary support that will enhance the world class status of the beautiful game and also to put Africa in the limelight of international events. Ghana heads Group 5 with superior goals and a win in Tripoli this weekend will ensure qualification to the next stage even before their last game against Lesotho in October. 04 Sept. 08
