Lumumba Stars spank local rivals

Ekumfi Eyisam (C/R) Dec.3, GNA - Eyisam Lumumba Stars played a highly spirited game to white-wash their local rivals, Heaven Angels by a massive 5-1 win in their Central Regional Division Two lLague match played at Eyisam on Wednesday.

Lumumba Stars led 2-0 at the end of the first half and continued to dominate the game on the resumption of the second half.

Lumumba Stars continued with their dominance and gave no mercy to the Angels when they scored three more goals through substitute Kofi Sey, who netted two goals in the 57th and 59th minutes and midfielder, James Baiduson sealed their doom when he slotted home the ball in the 79th minute.

Heaven Angels, in an effort to save themselves from total humiliation made efforts to improve their game pattern and managed to get a consolation goal in the 85th minute through centre half, Patrick Acquah.

Great Odupon whipped Pomadze Future Academicals 4 - 0, Swedru Young Rangers beat Great Breman United 2 - 1, Agona Fankobaa also beat Gomoa Obuasi Dortmund 2 - 1, Praso Akumpreku spanked Abaka Vision Stars 3 - 0, Otuam United beat Yamoransa Power Dynamos 2 - 1 while Winneba Soccer Intellectuals drew goalless with Pomadze Kampsite.
