Look Down with a Pity over us… Amputee to Mahama

Chairman for the Ghana Amputee Association Rev. Richard Nii Amartey Adesah has today made a special plea to President John Dramani Mahama to intervene so that the national Amputee football team can represent the nation in the up coming Cup of Nations for Amputee Football (CANAF 2013)
Speaking to www.sports24gh.com Rev Amartey said, “We wish to appeal to the President of the Republic, H.E John Dramani Mahama to look down with a pity over us and come to our rescue at this crucial moment to save our boat from sinking”.
The tournament is scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya from December 5th to 11th but the Association is yet to get any positive assurance of funding from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
According to Rev. Amartey the Association need about USD58, 775.00 in other to make this trip as well as GHC 16,589.00 for camping. Ghana is the most successful African nation as far as Amputee football is concern.
