Liverpool's Antwi breaks down

Liverpool defender Godwin Antwi could face up to four weeks on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury while on-loan at Hartlepool.

The centre-back, who joined Hartlepool on a season-long loan from Liverpool in the summer, picked up the problem in Saturday's 2-1 win over Doncaster.

The Ghana-born, who is now poised to play for Spain had headed in Hartlepool's opener at Victoria Park, but he was then forced off after straining his hamstring with 15 minutes remaining.

Hartlepool manager Danny Wilson has confirmed the injury, but he is hopeful Antwi will not be out of action for too long.

"With a hamstring problem you're usually looking at three to four weeks," Wilson told Hartlepool's official website.

"We'll see how he progresses and we're hoping it'll be sooner, but who knows?

"It's a bit of a blow, but we have a great squad and this is the type of reason that we carry the squad that we are doing."
