Lions hold struggling Jets

Accra, Oct. 17, GNA - Kpando Heart of Lions poured out hard when it mattered most to clinch a point off struggling Tudu Mighty Jets in their day seven Glo Premier League duel at the El-Wak Stadium, Accra on Sunday.

Jets who needed a win to give their elite division appearance a boost, lacked bite up-front as they missed the services of their silky striker, Aaron Amoah who is currently in Porto, Portugal on trails on a day that inexperience remained their best friend.

It was all Jets for most part of the dull game that had nothing positive to write about but each time Lions poured out, they proved enough threat to the homers whose defence had to work overtime to contain the visitor's slippery Gladson Awako and lone striker, Gilbert Fiamenyo.

The nature of play which made the game a difficult one to sit through lacked entertainment with the few chances that came the way of the two teams going waste until the final whistle for a barren encounter.
