Kpando Heart of Lions head coach, Yusif Abubakar is overly perplexed that the fate of his relegation battling club could be decided by a scheme to rescue certain clubs from relegation at the detriment of other teams.

His fears follows suit of the public opinions ever peaking to a crescendo that Accra Hearts of Oak (mostly cited in this case) must be saved from sinking into the lower division after their abysmal performance got them into the drop zone despite the Phobians moving out after beating Bechem United on Sunday.

Lions are now 14th on the log with 34 points and the quagmire is intense on coach Abubakar with just three matches remaining to wind up the premier league season. A 1-0 defeat at the Sekondi Stadium to Hasaacas meant Abubakar should state his belief whether Lions can avoid relegation or not. Abubakar puts his assertion of either staying or dropping to fairness.

"Everybody can assure himself and I believe apart from BA United, everybody can assure himself so as to Lions. The reality is that everybody is struggling to make sure they don't get to relegation so that is our objective and I believe we will do that," Yusif Abubakar told Allsports.com.gh.

"That is under one condition;fair play and fair officiating and if that one is not taking care of then I believe somebody will be working for some clubs to be survived and that is a very big disappointment" the Heart of Lions coach added.

"A chart or any calculation to put somebody down will never help Ghana football. Journalists should work on that. Here, it is a competition that we have gotten to a certain stage where we have to get a very good ending,' the former Ghana youth international continued.

"I don't think some personal interest should work into the competition and that is what I believe should continue with the remaining matches, there should be fair play,there should be fair officiating," he said.

He continued by saying the principle of equality is the way to go. He said: "We shouldn't make people feel like somebody has to go down, somebody has to stay. Nobody is bigger than relegation, and nobody is bigger than playing the premiership. Everything is equal and if that one is done I believe we will never be relegated".
