Lions Boye drafted into Stars rear

Accra, June 16, GNA - The Black Stars technical team has drafted Kpando Heart of Lions promising defender, John Boye into the team. Boye's inclusion must have been necessitated by the injury to Eric Addo in the Black Stars World Cup and African Nations Cup encounter against Gabon last Saturday.

The Lion's defender is a regular member of the local Black Stars team and to pick up a place in the senior team for Sunday's duel with Gabon remains a dream come true.

Information pieced together by the GNA Sports indicates that Boye would join the team on Tuesday as they regroup for the game they must win to keep their dream of qualifying out of Group Five burning on Sunday. He would be competing for a place with Francis Dickoh who has been part of the team in recent times.

The central defender was axed from the team alongside colleague Emmanuel Banahene prior to the Ghana-Libya game in Kumasi for reporting late to camp, after featuring for his Club in a local league match.
