Former acting board chairman of Hearts Oak, Ernest Bediako Sampong, owner of Ernest Pharmaceuticals has called on past directors of the club to make quick returns for Togbe Afede to be successful.

According to Sampong, the current disunity amongst the rank and file of the club is the chain of troubles the majority shareholder seems to be encountering.

The Rainbow club has since 2009 not won the league trophy and as a result the one-time continental masters have their name being written in water.

But Sampong believes with the return of these past former administrators the Phobians will return to its glory days this season.

“We have a problem in the club since the ownership structure of the club has changed but we must put behind us all the troubles and support Togbe to succeed”, he told Starr Sports.

“At the end of the day we all feel bad when Hearts is beaten I feel very bad, let's all come together so the past glory is restored.

"I foresaw this calamity coming since professionalism was introduced. In those days individuals buy players for the team and even sponsor the club, but this is no more”, he added.

Meanwhile, Hearts will be meeting the press ahead of the start of the league at the secretariat today at 11:00am.
