Let's Work harder For Second Leg - Herbert

The Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mr. Herbert Mensah has expressed cautious optimism as the Porcupine warriors prepare for the second-leg of their Cup Winners Cup semi-final clash in Congo in a fortnight against A.S Police, a team they have beaten 4-0.

Speaking on Fox Sports this morning, Mr. Mensah was quite philosophical in assessing the chances of Kotoko, and urged the technical team headed by Ralf (the cat) Zumdich, the playing-body, as well as the teeming fans of the club to work hard in order to earn a respectable result in far away Congo in two weeks time.

“ There’s no doubt about the fact that we played a dominating football, and that every member of the team contributed to this win. Whilst we shower tons of praises on the boys, we should not get carried-away into thinking that it’s all over. We should remember that we’re living in a continent where many of us are struggling to free ourselves from the clutches of primitivity. The sudden change in match venue from, Brazzaville to Point Noire is an indicative of the intentions of the Congolese Policemen, he said”.

Mr. Mensah expressed his Management’s resolve to do what is humanly possible to ensure that the playing body receive all the motivation they’ll ! need to perform in Congo and urged supporters not to cease praying.

When asked about the kind of preparations being put into place for the Congo trip, the Chief Executive Officer, said preparations for that match has already started and that a systematic planning is being done to enable the team surmount all problems whilst in Congo. This will of course mean that Mr. Mensah and his Management team should prepare to arrange for their own food, accommodation, among others, should the need arise, something, the Chief Executive has already made provision for.
