Lee Addy 99% sure of making Ghana's 2014 WC

Ghana defender Lee Addy claims he’s 99% sure of making the country’s 2014 World Cup squad.

The Dynamo Zagreb defender did not feature in the qualifying campaign due to intense competition at the left-back role.

However, the 23-year-old versatile defender is confident of making Kwesi Appiah’s final squad to Brazil following his stellar performances for his Croatian side.

“I can say that I am 99 percent sure that I will travel with Ghana to the World Cup in Brazil,” he is quoted by Jutarnji.

“When I was on holiday in Ghana, I spoke with the coach. He told me to continue my performances and I am a legitimate candidate for Brazil.

“They know in Ghana that Dynamo Zagreb is a big club and that when you play at this club you deserve a place in the World Cup squad.”

Addy recently revealed while on holiday in his native country that he will easily mark out Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo if he makes the final squad to the South American country.

The former Red Star Belgrade defender last played for the Africans in China two years ago.
