League to continue Without Sponsorship

...El-Sporto Pulls-Out
Investigations by JOY ONLINE has revealed that United States kit manufacturers, EL-Sporto, has pulled out their bid to sponsor the national premier league which has 14 games to go before the end of the current season.

This is due to the hard stance taken by Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) against the bid to sponsor the league.

Sources close to the Kit manufacturers say GHALCA kicked against the deal offered by EL-Sporto. This was after the Ghana Football Association had directed EL-Sporto to confer with GHALCA.

But GHALCA sources have blamed the GFA for the current situation since according to them, the GFA has the sole prerogative of securing sponsorship for the league and not the Clubs.

Members of GHALCA also wondered why, the FA pushed the package offered by EL-Sporto to their doorsteps.

Meanwhile, EL-Sporto is reportedly considering putting in a new package to sponsor the league next season. If the deal is concluded, each club would be offered a substantial amount before the season commences.

Clubs that excel during the season would be given additional sums. Individual clubs that enter into kit sponsorship deal with El-Sporto and perform creditably during the season would also receive some amounts.
