Lamptey fires shots ahead of Chelsea trip

Coach George Lamptey Coach George Lamptey

Coach George Lamptey has fired a warning ahead of Liberty Professionals' trip to Berekum Chelsea by describing their recent thrashing of Kotoko as no special feat.

Chelsea finally broke their March 2013 winless away record with an emphatic 3-0 victory over struggling Asante Kotoko in Kumasi on Sunday. They host the Scientific Soccer Lads next in a match day 23 fixture today.

"The recent performance of Kotoko must not make any serious football team happy because we all know that they are struggling," says an unmoved Lamptey.

"Beating Kotoko and Hearts of late is no more news so Chelsea must watch out. We shall be playing Chelsea on Wednesday and that is a game Chelsea should be thinking about not the victory over Kotoko.

"For Liberty, we have missed a few of our regular players due to injury but they will be back against Chelsea and that is when they should jubilate if they win," he added.

Berekum Chelsea currently occupy second place as they welcome 8th placed Liberty to the Golden City Park today.
