LOC Board to tour facilities

Accra, Oct. 11, GNA - Dr Kofi Amoah, Chairman of Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of Ghana 2008 African Cup of Nations would conduct a familiarization tour at the quartet tournament venue cities. The tour, which would include members of LOC Board, is to ascertain the state of work ahead of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) scheduled inspection visit on Monday, October 15.

The three-day event according to Magnus Rex Danquah, Chief Operation Officer (COO) of LOC would begin at Sekondi and Kumasi on Friday, October 12 where the team would inspect the two stadia, training pitches and hotels for CAF, players and team officials.

The team would fly to Tamale on Saturday, September 13 to inspect the stadium and other tournament facilities before returning to Accra on Sunday, October 14 to conduct a similar exercise. Dr Amoah is expected to brief the media at the LOC Secretariat after the tour on Sunday, October 14.
