Kwarasey is very confident - Coach Wilkinson

Portland Timbers goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey has won plaudits from his coach Gavin Wilkinson following an inspiring season in Major League Soccer.

The former Ghana shot-stopper has made 13 clean sheets in 34 regular season games for the Timbers, who are currently third with 53 points in the Western Conference.

β€œHe's cool, calm and collected, even reserved in many ways. But he's got emotion,” Wilkinson said of the 27-year-old, whom he recruited from Norwegian side Stromgodset in 2015.

"We have a lot of confidence in Adam. That's one of the things about him. He's very confident, very composed.”

Kwarasey announced his long-awaited return to the Black Stars in September after a meeting with coach Avram Grant.

However, he is yet to rejoin the outfit, which he quit in 2014 following a dispute with then goalkeeping trainer.
