Kwarasey Must Forfeit Norwegian Citizenship To Join Ghana

Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey would have to forfeit his Norwegian citizenship if he wants to play for Ghana.

The Ghana FA vice president Fred Pappoe told Joy Sports Norwegian laws do not allow dual citizenship and that has stalled the switch.

The 21-year-old had hoped that his nationality switch would have been ratified by FIFA in the run up to the 2010 World Cup but that did not happen.

The goalkeeper has been competitive abroad after sterling performances for his Norwegian side Stromsgodset and pundits believe he would provide credible alternative for the aging Richard Kingson.
