Kwadwo Asamoah played his first full game for Juventus since returning from the Nations Cup in the 2-1 win over Pescara on Saturday.

The Ghana international played at the left side of a five-man midfield but was constantly found helping out in defence.

Asamoah has struggled to regain his early season form since returning from the 2013 Nations Cup where he helped Ghana finish in a semi final spot.

The 24-year-old was an unused substitute in the Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich in midweek – meaning he was fresh for the tough Serie-A game on Saturday.

The champions had it extremely tough breaking down the bottom club.

It took a 72nd minute penalty neatly dispatched by striker Mirko Vucinic to break the deadlock.

The Montenegro hitman struck again six minutes later to give Antonio Conte’s team some respite.

They were however put back to work with Emmanuel Cascoine pulling one back for Pescara in the 83rd minute.

The Bianconeri however held on to claim another vital three points as they surge to a successful defence of the Serie-A title with seven games left.
