Ghana have been handed a massive fitness boost ahead of the 2017 AFCON qualifier later this month with news of Kwadwo Asamoah's return from injury.

The 27-year-old midfielder, who has been tormented by injuries since the start of the season, was named in the Juventus starting line-up and played until he was replaced with four minutes remaining.

Ghana coach Avram Grant who has been ordered by the Ghana FA to return to the country ahead of the qualifier will be glad with news of the midfielder's availability to his squad ahead of the game against Mozambique in Accra.

Juventus manager Maximiliano Allegri was okay with the output of the midfielder in the game though his Old Ladies side were battered 3-0 by Inter Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza.

However the game had to head to penalty shoot-outs as Juventus had won the reverse fixture from the first-leg by same margin.

The Old Ladies won 5-4 on the shoot-out after Inter Milan's Rodrigo Palacio wasted his kick.

Ghanaian youth defender Bright Gyamfi watched the entire game from the Inter Milan bench as he was named in the team by manager Roberto Mancini.
