Kwadwo Asamoah happy for Boakye-Yiadom

Ghana and Juventus midfielder, Kwadwo Asamoah has expressed happiness on seeing his team mate Richmond Boakye-Yiadom score on his debut for the senior national team.

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom came from the bench to equalise for the Ghana Black Stars against China in an international friendly played in China last Tuesday.

After the match, Asamoah tweeted saying, “we drew 1 - 1 vs China. (I’m) happy for my roommate Richmond Boakye who scored on his debut for Ghana”.

Kwadwo Asamoah and Richmond Boakye-Yiadom both signed for Italian giants Juventus a few weeks ago and have immediately made impacts in their pre-season traning with both players scoring goals in some training matches.

The coach of the Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah invited both players for the China friendly which became Boakye-Yiadom’s first ever senior national team assignment.

The two players who were the first to arrive at the Stars’ training camp for the China friendly, incidentally combined to get Ghana’s equaliser as the Richmond header that resulted in the Stars’ only goal came from Asamoah’s cross.
