Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has not been named in Juventus' Super Cup squad travelling to China.

Asamoah is yet to make a playing appearance for Juventus this pre-season as he continues a fitness regime in recovery from a long injury lay-off.

Though he made a return to the first team at the end of last season after his recovery from knee surgery, the talented midfielder who plays in defence for the Bianconeri has not been named in any of Allegri's preseason squads,casting doubts over his future at the club.

Having returned from the South of France last night following their pre-season friendly in Marseille, the Bianconeri were given the day off before long journey east.

Sami Khedira is not on the plane to China as the German midfielder is due to undergo a medical examination tomorrow.
