Ghana and Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah is taking advantage of the international break to improve his fitness by training with his club while most of his colleagues go on national team duty.

The 26-year-old only returned to competitive action for the first time in nearly one year after playing in Juventus’s 3-1 win over Bologna in the Serie A last Sunday.

It was the first competitive match for the Ghana international since November last year in the UEFA Champions League 3-2 win over Olympiacos due to a recurrent knee problem.

Asamoah was rightfully left out of Ghana’s team which is currently preparing in Washington to play Canada in an international friendly.

He is however not lowering his guard and is covering every blade of grass in Turin to ensure he is match fit after the international break.
