Kumasi polytechnic wins

Kumasi polytechnic whipped their Accra counterpart 2-1 in a soccer match played at UCC sports ground to qualify for the semi finals in the on-going Ghana Polytechnic Sports Games at Cape Coast.

On resumption Accra polytechnic threw everything into attack and twice came close to scoring but their forwards wasted chances that came their way in the 50th and 55th minute.

They continued to dictate the pace but in 65th minute, centre forward Isaac Ahinsa picked up a ball at the right flank and raced through the defense to increased the score to 2-0 against the run of play.

Undaunted by this lead the Accra boys took control of the game and it came as no surprise when outside right Michael Amankwah reduced the scores to 2-1 in the 80th minute.
