Sudan coach Mohammed Abdallah says he has always relished the chance of playing matches at the Baba Yara Stadium and believes the venue is an added advantage for the Nile Crocodiles to get a favourable result against the Black Stars on Sunday.

The University professor claims his team is already in a very critical situation after the late arrival of three of his players but counts on his side's familiarity with the 'special atmosphere' in Kumasi to pay off.

“We have a critical condition in camp with our three players who play club football in Africa and they just arrived but I know the venue is Kumasi so I have no big problem,” Abdallah told Sunyani-based Storm FM.

“I want to play there everyday and feel the atmosphere of the football fans.”

He added: “I used to play matches in Kumasi in 2008 in our group and our team was based there and we play Ghana two times there and the people there are very special and they like football, they make the game very nice every time we play so I know in Kumasi we'll get a good result or may be a draw.”

“Coaches don't talk about result but I hope we'll get a favourable result on that day,” he added.

Sudan are expected in Ghana on Thursday to face Ghana in the crucial group D World Cup qualifier on Sunday.
