Kudjoe Fianoo tasks clubs to look for sponsors

Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Kudjoe Fianoo has called on all clubs in the country to work for sponsors to support their clubs. Fianoo, who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of Ashgold, argued that sponsorship helps to relieve the clubs of financial constraints.

The astute football administrator said this when he Chaired the signing ceremony of the Dreams sponsorship agreement on Thursday in Accra.

“Such sponsorships are rare in our league. We must value it and all clubs must endeavor to get [sponsorships] because it helps them to run the club in terms of finances” said Fianoo.

“The clubs should position themselves professionally, that is how they [should] run affairs because that is what will attract the sponsors to come. On the other hand, the fastest way for companies to market their stuffs and sell their products is through football because it has huge following so they must also utilise it” the Ghalca boss stated.

The one-year, Dreams agreement, according to the Executive Chairman of the club is in excess of GH?200,000.
