Kotoko warned to improve on performance ahead of CAF Champions League

Kumasi, Sept. 12, GNA - A management member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko F/C, Jarvis Peprah has called for a shake-up in the team ahead of next year's CAF Champions League competition.

He said that his call has become necessary following weaknesses exposed on the team at the on-going MTN GHALCA Top Four tournament. Kotoko's performance in the Top Four has been a source of worry to the Clubs die-hard fanatic large army of supporters and the management since they have lost all their four matches so far.

Mr Peprah raised question marks on the competence of the technical handlers and said he finds it difficult to understand why they have been unable to find antidote to the streak of painful defeats. He said he was of the firm believe that unless there was an overhaul of both the technical team and playing body, the supporters would continue to be disappointed.

"I am baffled that the 'Porcupine Warriors' could for instance lose to Heart of Lions alone on four occasions in the last two months with the technical team not doing anything concrete to vary their tactics and strategy".

Mr Peprah said the recent dismal performance by the Club is unacceptable, considering the astonishing form with which the Club finished the just-ended Premier League.

He called on the supporters not to be perturbed since management would do everything to address the present challenges to restore the Club to its former glory and all conquering form.
