Kotoko to play Liberty

Accra, Dec. 30, GNA - Kumasi Asante Kotoko will play Liberty Professionals in a celebration match at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra on Sunday, January 1, 2006.

A press release issued and signed by the Mr E. K. Nunoofio, Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Circles Council of the "Porcupine Warriors" said all the seven trophies won by the new premiership champions in 2005 would be on display. The release said all arrangements for the match had been concluded and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the National Sports Council (NSC) had also sanctioned it.

It entreated all supporters of the Club to turn up in their numbers to watch the new look Kotoko team, which would seek to win the African Champions League in 2006.

Gate fees for the match, which kicks off at 3 p.m. will be 50 thousand cedis for the Wings, 30 thousand cedis for the Upper Terrace and 20 thousand cedis for the Osu, May 9 and Popular Stands.
