Kotoko to bring in foreign strikers

Kumasi Asante Kotoko are set to beef up their attacking machinery for the coming season with some foreign imports as they aim to make the mark again locally and prove themselves in the Caf Champions League.

The Porcupine Warriors are at an advanced stage to bring in quality strikers across the continent as they give the elite inter-club competition of the continent a second shot after crashing out last season.

“Kotoko will buy foreign strikers to beef up the attack for the coming season as we seek to make an impact in Africa and in the league,” Alhaji Lamine a member of the Kotoko administration told Rainbow Radio.

“We have already brought in one striker from Namibia who is in our camp; he will start training with us soon.”

Alhaji Lamine added: “We have also told Maxwell Konadu to help us get more quality strikers outside.”

Goal Ghana also understands that plans are advanced to bring in Sewe San Pedro hot shot Mandela Ocansey who has been on fire for the Ivorian side.
