Kotoko supporters want Rangers star

Ashanti Kotoko supporters have fallen in love with Rangers star, Ugochukwu Okeke and have urged the management to sign the player next season. On the Ghanaian team's website, fans of the club wondered why the coaches of Ashanti Kotoko did not pay attention to the tall Okeke who created the first goal and scored the second.

"This is the type of player we need in our team next year. We have since found out that we need to fortify our attack and Ugochukwu Okeke is the right player that will help our cause next year.

"If we can take care of our attack, then we are sure of getting something next year, even though we are still on course to play in the final of the Confederation Cup," they chorused.

Rangers Chief Executive Officer Davidson Owumi told Enugurangersfc.com that Okeke is not for sale and noted that except he travels out for professional trials in Europe, Okeke will not join Ashanti Kotoko.

"It is good they are looking for him. That shows he is a good player and has been recognised as one that can lift the Ghanaian team next season.

But Okeke is also in our plans for next season and we are not going to release him to any club,"Owumi said.

The Kotoko fans are also planning to talk to the management to look towards Enyimba's Joetex Frimpong to pair with Okeke next year
