Asante Kotoko’s Head Coach, David Duncan is upbeat about the club's future and speaks of master-class performance in the coming football season.

He said it would be presenting a more formidable side ready to compete and win honours.

Kotoko ended the 2014/2015 First Capital Plus Premier League season in the seventh position on 42 points - failing to defend the title it won for three consecutive seasons.

Coach Duncan, who replaced Didi Dramani in the first round, said in spite of its inability to retain the trophy, the team performed well.

“We have done a good job together with the players”, he stated, adding that, the current team, which was in a transition would be a force to reckon with in their next campaign.

He was addressing a post-match conference after Kotoko lost 1-3 to Ashgold in the Otumfuo Cup football match played at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi, on Sunday.

The match was to climax the 80th anniversary of Kotoko, Ghana’s most successful football club of all time.

The Porcupine Warriors ended the season without a trophy, a sharp contrast of the 2013/2014 season, which saw the club wining both the League and FA Cups.

Coach Duncan said he had submitted a summary report to the management, detailing its technical direction in the coming season.

Information gathered by the GNA Sports indicated that the blue-print focuses on player recruitment, fitness and welfare.
