Kotoko round off tour with win over Vipers

Cape Coast, Sept. 24, GNA - Kumasi Asante Kotoko continued their winning spree when they beat Cape Coast Venomous Vipers 3-0 in another friendly match played at Robert Mensah stadium on Friday to round off their one month camping at Cape Coast.

The camp, which was organized by management of the Club to keep the team in form ahead of the Premier League, saw Kotoko beat Sekondi Hasaacas 3-2, whipped Ebusua Dwarfs 6-1 and drew 1-1 with Gamba All Blacks at Agona Swedru.

After referee Charles Nyarko signalled the two sides into action it was Vipers who matched Kotoko boot to boot but faled to hold on their effort when in the 43rd minute Kotoko's midfielder, Eric Bekoe broke the deadlock with a sizzling shot to end the first half.

Vipers resumed the second half strongly but their hope of drawing level were dashed when the strikers of Kotoko went ahead to net home two quick goals through Kojo Poku and Nana Arhin Duah in the 46th and 55th minutes respectively to bring the full time score 3-0.
