Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Sarfo Gyamfi has blasted the current crop of players in the club describing them inferior in quality to don the red jersey.

According to the Black President, as he is affectionately referred, the current players in the team do not deserve to play for the Porcupine Warriors as their attitude and fighting spirit do not depict a real Kotoko player.

Speaking in an interview with Success FM in Goaso, the former Black Stars player hastily branded most of the players of the Kumasi giants as inferior.

"Majority of the current Asante Kotoko players don't deserve to wear the jersey's of our great club.

"The management only registered free transferred players because they don't have money,"Sarfo Gyamfi said.

"Due to lack of funds, the current management failed to sign good players for the club. They only relied on second-hand player for the side which is not the best," he added.

Asante Kotoko are struggling to win the Ghana Premier League after being champions in 2014.
